Students

Let your light shine before others...

Matthew 5:16

Our Youth Ministry is a place where students can be themselves, ask real questions, and grow in their faith alongside friends who are on the same journey. We want students to know they don’t have to figure life out all alone.

Through engaging discussions, relevant Bible teaching, worship, games, and service opportunities, we help students build a faith that’s their own and learn how following Jesus connects to everyday life.

Our students are led by caring, trusted adult leaders who are committed to walking with students, modeling Christ’s love, and creating a space that’s fun, meaningful, and faith-building.

Join Us On Sundays

9am-11am

There are many opportunities to serve! Students can volunteer in the nursery and preschool room, help prepare donuts and coffee in the kitchen before service, or work in the AV room.

11am-12pm

Our teen Bible class meets on Sundays after the worship service. Join us for a discussion-based Bible study that helps students grow in their faith and build lasting friendships.

About Our Student Ministry Leader

Julie Carr

Julie and her husband, Garrett, are originally from Southern California and a recently retired Army family. Along with their daughter, who is in college and son, who is in high school, they have lived in Crofton and have been members of FBCC since 2013. That same year, Julie and Garrett felt a strong pull to join the youth ministry as volunteers and Julie has been the youth ministry director since November 2017.
Julie and Garrett understand the unique privilege it is to walk alongside teenagers during this time in their faith journey. They are passionate about creating a safe and welcoming environment for our middle and high schoolers where no question or conversation is too small or too big, and bonds of fellowship are fostered among the youth.
